LESSON 4: ISO + MANUAL MODE
With this Lesson, you will learn how to take complete creative control of your camera. To do this, you will master the effects of ISO on noise, and discover the limitations/expansions of exposure latitude this will bring to your imagery. And then, the culminating lesson on taking your first step towards being a master photographer – Manual Mode. So watch, read, share, discuss, evaluate and most of all, put these concepts into practice!
Absorb: Watch this Lesson’s videos on Manual mode and ISO. Let's start with gaining Knowledge of ISO, as you need to understand ISO before you advance to manual mode.
Explore: Now let's take a bit of a deeper dive with some excellent articles:
Image sensor... weird science extrapolation.
Play: Download the Camera Simulator and play with the settings. This will be a great way for you to understand the Theory of Relativity and the Exposure Triangle.
Attend: Watch Virtual Workshop video on ISO.
Post: Five images you have taken with your camera showing command of manual mode, with metadata imprinted in lower-left corner by Thursday. Post five photos showing varied ISO’s.

Discuss: How difficult do you find the use of Manual mode, and which mode you think you will practice going forward?

Critique: Look and comment on at least three portfolios by Sunday. Continue to discuss until Wednesday of Lesson 5.

Evaluate: Three questions, three minutes of your time appreciated.

IMPLEMENTATION
Great implementation can mean that the course was facilitated with a well-coordinated in a synchronized or blended approach, or that the course was converted with great relevance. It can mean that the course was integrated well with the technology used within the course, organized well within the LMS, and most importantly, that the learning outcomes were achieved. Behind all of these approaches is the age old tried and true Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction, as described on the Design page.
